Time to Get Up Now

If all the houses in our street collapsed to piles of rubble
If all our neighbours were arrested for causing too much trouble
If all the trees were cut down and replaced by cars
And our back garden was overrun by monsters from Mars
If me, my mum, my sister and my cat
Moved to London and bought a Flat
Or infested the house with a plague of rats
And, just for good measure, a few hundred bats
Or even set fire to his precious woolly hat
Or warned him he'd explode if he got too fat
In his favourite chair my father would stay
For you see he's just so flaming lazy that way.
